1. Who we are

CB Storyworks is an independent nonfiction publisher based in Canada, publishing under the authors Hannah P Cartwright and Carina N Beger. This website, cbstoryworks.com, is the publisher's front office — it presents our catalogue, author profiles, and directs readers to retail platforms where books can be purchased.

We do not operate an online store or process payments directly. Book purchases happen on third-party retail platforms (Amazon, Apple Books, Google Play, etc.).

2. Information we collect

We collect information in two ways:

• Information you provide directly: if you contact us by email (via the Contact page or hello@cbstoryworks.com), we receive your name, email address, and the content of your message.
• Information collected automatically: when you visit this website, standard analytics data is collected: pages visited, time on page, referring URL, browser type, device type, and approximate location (country/region). This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you.

We do not collect payment information. We do not operate a user account or membership system on this site.

3. How we use your information

Information we collect is used to:

• Respond to enquiries sent via the Contact page or email
• Understand how our website is used so we can improve it
• Monitor site performance and diagnose technical issues

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.

4. Third-party services

This website uses the following third-party services, each of which may collect data under their own privacy policies:

• Pathway5 Framework (pathway5framework.com): the sales platform for High-Risk Procurement, operated separately. Its own privacy policy applies.

5. Cookies & tracking

6. Companion resources & BookFunnel

Several of our book review pages offer free companion resources (worksheets, guides) delivered via BookFunnel. When you claim a companion resource through BookFunnel, you are interacting with BookFunnel's platform directly. BookFunnel may collect your email address to deliver the download. Their service is governed by BookFunnel's Privacy Policy.

CB Storyworks may receive notification that a resource was claimed, but we do not independently store email addresses collected via BookFunnel unless you separately opt in to communications.

7. Data retention

Email enquiries are retained for as long as necessary to respond and maintain a reasonable business correspondence record, typically no longer than two years unless ongoing communication requires it.

Analytics data collected via Google Analytics is subject to Google's own retention settings (typically 14 months by default).

8. Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including:

• The right to access personal data we hold about you
• The right to correct inaccurate data
• The right to request deletion of your data
• The right to withdraw consent for data processing based on consent (including analytics cookies)

9. Children's privacy

This website is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Some of our books (such as Your Future – Your Way) are written for a teenage audience; however, this site does not require account creation or data submission to browse content.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of this site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
